Counseling and Psychological Services of Stevens Institute of Technology is seeking excellent candidates fora full-timeStaff Psychotherapist position.Salary range is competitive andcommensuratewith experience.
This is a hybrid position which requires four days a week of work on-site andallows forone day a week of remote work.
The CAPS clinic is openClinic is open 9-5 weekdays and until 9pm on Monday.Work shifts can be chosen during any of these available times.
The Staff Therapist willoperateas a generalist whoprovidesa full range of clinical services including individual and group therapy crisis interventionoutreachandconsultation.Additionalduties may include supervision and training of mental health graduate students.Additionally CAPS adheres to a short-term treatmentmodeland we are seeking a clinician who can effectively provide time limited psychotherapy.
Essential Job Functions:
Provides initial clinical assessment counseling and psychotherapy group counseling daytime on-call coverage crisis intervention outreach and consultation services to the university community.
Maintains up-to-date case files as dictated by current professional standards.
Adheres to ethical principles of corresponding profession.
Facilitates psychiatric hospitalization for students as
May be asked to provide training and supervision tomental health graduate students
On rare occasions after-hours orweekend outreachat major university eventsis required.
Minimum Qualifications:
NJ licensure in good standing as Clinical Social Worker Professional Counseloror Mental Health Counselor.
Multicultural competence and skill in working with students from a diversity of backgrounds
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
Prior experience providing psychological care in a University Counseling setting
Demonstrated competence in outreach and prevention program planning and implementation
Demonstrated specializationwithin the mental health field
Demonstrated understanding of the challenges and stressors facing graduate and international students.
Experience in providing clinical services to students pursuing studiesinSTEM.
Experience in assessment and treatment of neurodiverse young adults.

In compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act the annual base salary range for this position is $71000.00 - $97066.67. This range represents the Universitys good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the positions scope and responsibilities the candidates experience education skills internal equity market data and organizational considerations. The final salary will be set considering departmental budget qualifications and relevant credentials. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes additional forms of compensation such as incentives stipends or other applicable pay components.
