Certificated Dental Surgery Assistant I/II (CDSA I/II) in Dental Unit of University Health Service (Ref: 533723) to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
The Role
The appointee will support the dentists in providing care to eligible users in accordance with the mission of the University Health Service. Duties of the appointee include assisting dentists in performing dental treatment preparing dental materials and equipment taking dental radiographs maintaining the inventory for the designated operatory cleaning disinfection and sterilization of instruments. He/She is also required to perform duties of receptionists that include making dental appointments for eligible patients answering enquires from patients preparing dental records for clinic staff collecting dental charges and managing accounts and receipts for the university.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a Certificate/Diploma in Dental Surgery Assisting issued by a recognized institute or equivalent and 5 passes in HKCEE including English or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE. Applicants of CDSA I should have at least 10 years chairside assisting work experience in a dental clinic. Prior experience in clinic management will be an advantage. Those with less experience may be appointed as CDSA II. They should also have fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese.
