Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Lead analytics projects across advertising products contributing to analytics data visualization architecture and strategic initiatives.

  • Perform ad hoc and deep-dive analyses to support decision-making and uncover product opportunities.

  • Translate complex data into clear concise insights for stakeholders across product engineering sales and strategy teams.

  • Partner with engineering teams to shape and improve data architecture and ensure scalable reliable pipelines.

  • Support A/B testing by analyzing results and recommending actions to improve product performance.

  • Design and develop dashboards and data visualizations to guide key business decisions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data efforts with strategic goals.

  • Prioritize tasks effectively and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced agile environment.

Qualifications (What Were Looking For)

  • Bachelors degree in Mathematics Computer Science Information Systems Statistics Data Science or a related field.

  • 5 years of experience in Product Analytics or related role.

  • Preferred experience in the media/publishing industry with its unique audience data challenges and opportunities.

  • Preferred strong understanding of market research and competitive intelligence.

  • Preferred excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud data warehousing platforms (e.g. Google Cloud Platform AWS or Azure).

  • Familiarity with Python or R for advanced data analysis.

  • Knowledge of data governance practices and data management best practices.

  • This is a hybrid position based in New York City with an in-office requirement of four days per week.

The base salary for this role is between $149000 - $181000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors such as: transferable skills work experience business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
