An outstanding opportunity exists for an experienced professional working closely with our Client Lead Partner for SA Government and Account Leadership Group to support and lead our client relationships across the SA this context you will provide direct leadership to a small team coordinating our work across KPMG and the SA Government to enable our business within KPMGs Infrastructure Government and Healthcare (IGH) Industry Group.
Your new role:
As the Relationship Director and key support role to the Account Lead Partner you will be responsible for engaging closely with our SA Government and public sector clients (including SA based Universities and Local Government) and our internal teams to tailor KPMG solutions expertise and best practice proposals for our SA Government clients to support them in the delivery of their key programs and services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Applying your understanding and experience within the SA Government to identify opportunities for KPMG to work with or support the SA Government in conjunction with the Account Leadership Group.
- Identifying client reform priorities and leading the development of key solutions and innovative approaches to support clients to overcome complex challenges and deliver on business and reform objectives.
- Managing and inputting into proposal processes for major projects including contribution to high quality tailored written materials that articulate our clients requirements demonstrate KPMGs sector and client understanding and ensure client objectives and perspectives are central to the process.
- Deploying strategic and commercial advice throughout the pricing contracting and negotiation procurement phases to ensure our proposition is articulated clearly and aligned with client and KPMG objectives.
- Lead an account management team and support the Client Lead Partner with the development and delivery of strategic business planning activities.
- Contributing as a member of the national IGH Leadership team and sharing insights and knowledge across the IGH community.
You bring to the role
- Preferably 8 years experience working with the SA Government with recent experience at the senior leadership/executive level.
- Strong understanding of public sector policy priorities and processes for working with the SA Government/public sector.
- Ability to work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders including at senior levels.
- Highly developed communication collaboration and negotiation skills to achieve outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills including an ability to drive a culture of excellence and service orientation across teams.
- A strong understanding of business development approaches for government.
- Ideally a proven track record in a business development or relationship management role.
