RSi is looking to fill a Lead Planner (Team Lead)position to support our NASAcustomer on the METTS contract. This position will report to the Fabrication & Outsourcing Manager and will reside in building 4705 Marshall Space Flight Center. The primary customer is the NASA ES20 Fabrication Manager whose customers may include NASA programs/projects other Government agencies or commercial companies.

Summary of duties include:

• Establishes and manages an integrated schedule of fabrication jobs
• Coordinates with the Fabrication & Outsourcing Manager to establish priority of planning packages
• Provide monthly deliverables to upper management
• Present to the NASA customer on a regular basis
• Provide daily leadership and direction to the process planners production control and workflow coordinator
• Other duties as assigned

Required Minimum Education/Experience/Certifications:

• Applicants should have experience in utilizing and working within the NASA Visual system utilized for planning and implementing fabrication requests for in-house and outsourced fabrication jobs.
• Demonstrated skill in oral and written communications.
• Works well with other employees.
• Understanding of Production Scheduling Fabrication Precision Assembly and Precision Cleaning.
• Ability to provide clear concise accurate and timely communication both verbally and written.
• Ability to interact professionally with coworkers management and customers.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision make rational decisions and to exercise good judgment.

Preferred Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/IT Skills/Certifications:

• Desired experience with providing integrated schedule products and interfacing with customers.
• Previous leadership experience involving multiple employees.
• Previous experience working with NASA contract and/or financial information and personnel.

Work Environment:

• Office environment
• May require time in a machine shop with loud noises

Physical Environment (outside inside heights stairs etc) /Requirements (lifting heights bending etc):

• Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a workstation/desk -with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift >15 lbs - with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Other:

• Requires ability to travel domestically (within the U.S.) <15%.
• Work attire must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk / hazard to the employee or others.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain NASA Public Trust Clearance and facility access to Redstone Arsenal.
