As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banks Post Trade Tech Team you are part of an agile team that works to enhance design and deliver the software components of the firms state-of-the-art technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team you execute software solutions through the design development and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product application or system while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities
- Build high-quality web applications using React libraries.
- Implement state management (Redux Context API) for efficient data flow.
- Work with designers to convert Figma designs into functional UI components.
- Optimize applications for speed and scalability.
- Review code and offer constructive feedback.
- Debug and troubleshoot for optimal performance.
- Foster a culture of diversity inclusion opportunity and respect.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2 yearsapplied experience
- Proficient in HTML CSS JavaScript and React JS.
- Strong knowledge of Figma and design tools.
- Experience with responsive/adaptive design.
- Skilled in Git and version control.
- Excellent problem-solving communication and leadership abilities.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards.
- Experience with build/deploy tools (Webpack Vite).
- Practical cloud-native experience.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience with Typescript or other JavaScript frameworks.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest Mocha).
- Knowledge of performance optimization.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiar with RESTful APIs and asynchronous requests.
