As a Cook at Goodstart youll create delicious healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies becoming a cherished part of our community. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in shaping the daily experiences of the children in our care.

In this role you will:

Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies
Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic

About Goodstart Mentone:

104-place centre located in the heart of Mentone close to the beach public transport and local amenities
Welcoming and supportive team led by an experienced Centre Director
Purpose-built centre featuring a beautiful communal dining hub and onsite kitchen with a child-height servery allowing you to serve interact with children and engage in cooking and meal preparation
Full-time role working 38 hours Monday to Friday (8:30am4:30pm) with no evening or weekend shifts

Youll need:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
Current VIC Working with Children Check
