Role Summary
The PDPL Technical SME will provide expert-level guidance on the implementation of technical and operational requirements for PDPL NDMO and SAMA compliance.
The role focuses on data discovery mapping classification and supporting the development of detailed ROPAs and privacy tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert on PDPL NDMO and SAMA requirements.
- Develop and validate Records of Processing Activities (ROPAs) with technical accuracy.
- Lead the implementation and configuration of data protection technologies and platforms.
- Provide guidance on data governance classification retention and privacy-by-design.
- Support integration of privacy tools such as BigID and OneTrust.
- Conduct data flow mapping system analysis and architecture reviews for compliance alignment.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity IT and data teams to ensure technical controls meet regulatory expectations.
- Assist in remediation planning and operational execution related to privacy risks.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 5-10 years of technical experience in data protection privacy engineering or information governance.
- Strong expertise in banking environments is essential.
- In-depth understanding of NDMO PDPL and related regulatory frameworks. Hands-on experience with data protection tools such as BigID and OneTrust.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical ROPAs and data inventories. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate regulatory needs into technical solutions.
