The Opportunity

Downers Energy & Utilities business is seeking an experiencedZero Harm Advisorto join our Southeast QLD Water team supporting the Urban Utilities contract. This role supports the Zero Harm leadership team in leading developing and providing expert advice on Downers Zero Harm culture and compliance with legislative requirements. You will play a key role in driving safety performance and fostering a strong Zero Harm culture across our projects in SEQ. You will work collaboratively within an integrated team of established and experienced Operational Leaders and Zero Harm Peers in support of our operational objectives.

With a long-term pipeline of projects across the Urban Utilities footprint throughout Brisbane Sommerset Ipswich Lockyer Valley and Scenic Rim LGAs candidates located to the Southside of Brisbane / Ipswich would be ideally positioned to attend the various sites across this broad area.

In this field-based role you will work within a leading Zero Harm team with a keen focus on innovation coaching and mentoring and proactive risk reduction while supporting and uplifting the standards of our various delivery partners (contractors).

What Were Looking For

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with:

• Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in WHS/OHS (Diploma or higher preferred) or similar related discipline. Certificate IV in Training & Assessment desirable.
• Experience: Previous experience in related high-risk fields such as civil construction infrastructure utilities heavy industry resources /mining. Experience with contractor management highly desirable.
• Skills:
  Strong practical understanding and application of contemporary safety practice (HOP).
  Extensive knowledge of safety requirements and legislation.
  Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  Ability to lead investigations (ICAM or similar).
  Strong understanding and application of digital systems (Microsoft etc).
• Attributes: Collaborative self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a high pace environment. A pragmatic team player who approaches challenges with curiosity and outcomes in mind.
