We are seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our team! In this role you would oversee the repair and maintenance of our fleet of vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have the desire to live out our values of: Excellence Positivity Integrity and Collaboration.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- TEAM OVERSIGHT: Train staff to further knowledge of repair maintenance and operation. Ensure proper use of equipment to prevent ongoing issues. Oversee workload to ensure timelines are met.
- REPAIR & MAINTENANCE: Adhering to regular preventative maintenance schedules. Regular inspections of vehicles trailers and equipment to catch and repair issues. Diagnose and repair to the original operating condition. Fabrication of various parts to meet the needs of the application using various metals wood plastic or other materials. Welding of metal that has become broken or damaged. Diagnose and repair electrical issues. Production and replacement of hydraulic hoses.
- SHOP EFFICIENCY: Maintain inventory of commonly used supplies to prevent delivery delays. Ensure that staff is always working in the safest way possible with proper PPE. Maintain a clean and organized shop. Maintaining the software utilized to track repairs and inventory
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITY
- KNOWLEDGE: Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Mechanic with at least two (2) years of experience overseeing a team. Prior experience with inventory management and running heavy equipment is preferred.
- SKILLS: Strong attention to detail self-motivation and accountability. Knowledge of electrical systems including diagnosis and repair. Ability to prioritize and delegate to ensure timelines are met.
- ABILITY: This role is onsite and requires reporting to our office in Waterloo NE. Schedule is predominantly Monday-Friday 7am-6pm with occasional Saturdays. A valid drivers license and ability to pass a felony/misdemeanor background and driving (Motor Vehicle Record) check. Must be available / on call for snow clearing in the winter. Must comply with safety protocol including hearing eye and respiratory protection.
