The Plant Electro Maintenance Mechanic troubleshoots installs maintains and repairs mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls numerical controls power supplies drives motors gear boxes bearings gauges and test equipment.
The Plant Electro Maintenance Mechanic will:
- Work from complex blue prints wiring diagrams shop and vendor manuals layouts and other specifications.
- Calibrate equipment check furnaces operating condition monitor glass levels and inspects samples for defects.
- Make minor adjustments and repairs and perform preventive maintenance functions as directed.
The Plant Electro Maintenance Mechanic should have:
- Ability to work in a safe manner and in a team environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills ability to read electrical/electronic diagrams/drawings and an understanding of computers and related equipment is required.
- Ability to climb in overhead structures to work beneath machines in close quarters and hot areas performing analysis and repair work.
Qualifications :
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics and/or mechanical fields required
- Experience with AC/DC power distribution high/low voltage applications servo systems Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) pneumatic hydraulic and electro-mechanical devices
