Job Summary

Bachelor of Education (or equivalent) and either: a Master of Library & Information Studies degree or equivalent from an ALA-accredited institution or a Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies Teacher Librarianship or equivalent.
At least 5 years of directly related experience which includes a minimum of 2 years in library services and a minimum of 2 years of recent classroom teaching with lesson plan development responsibilities.
Teaching Certification is strongly preferred.
Experience in youth engagement community outreach and program evaluation is preferred.
Teaching experience in Canada is preferred.
Supervisory experience is preferred

Ability to work effectively outside of traditional library activities and settings.
Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and new service directions.
Demonstrated superior interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Ability to contribute positively and work effectively within a team environment.

Pay Band:
$43.41 - $55.41 per hour*
*Approximately $79326 - $101241 per annum based on a 35 hour work week.
Shift differential may apply in accordance with the terms and conditions of the CSU 52 Collective Agreement.

Note:
Satisfactory background screenings is required for this position which includes a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check/Police Information Check.
This position consists of varied schedules which include day evening and weekend shifts.
