Trinity Elms HR is seeking motivated individuals to fill both full-time and part-time Dietary Aide positions. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment while earning competitive pay and enjoying valuable benefits.
Compensation and Benefits
- $13.50 per hour.
- Every other weekend is required.
- Weekend-only shifts offer extra pay per hour through a shift differential.
- Employee benefits begin after just 30 days of employment.
Position Overview
The Dietary Aide plays a vital role in supporting the Cook with meal preparation and service while also helping to maintain cleanliness in the Dietary Department.
Key Responsibilities

- Assisting in the preparation of food under the direct supervision of the Cook or Assistant Director of Dietary Services.
- Preparing beverages cereals breads salads and desserts according to menu plans and diet cards ensuring individual preferences are met.
- Following both written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Setting up service carts as needed for efficient meal service.
- Cleaning kitchen storage and dishwashing areas as assigned.
- Clearing dirty dishes from the dining rooms to maintain cleanliness.
- Operating the dishwasher and handling heavy racks of dishes safely.
- Checking and recording dishwasher temperatures to ensure proper sanitation.
- Storing food and supplies in accordance with guidelines.
- Dating labeling and storing unused food and condiments as directed.
- Attending training sessions and practicing new techniques as introduced.
- Using kitchen equipment after receiving appropriate training.
- Knowing how to use emergency equipment as needed.
- Following all safety standards and maintaining a safe workspace at all times.
- Treating residents colleagues and others with politeness and respect.
- Adhering to all department and facility policies and procedures.
- Stocking and cleaning diet kitchens cabinets and refrigerators at each station.
- Setting up the staff dining area for meals refilling supplies and preparing the dirty dish cart.
- Completing other tasks as necessary to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Education: Some high school coursework diploma or equivalent. A combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
- Experience: Ability to read understand and follow recipes.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions related to recipes dietary needs and meal orders. Must be physically capable of serving meals and assisting residents and demonstrate compassion and patience when interacting with elderly residents and their families.
Preferences (Optional)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Training or experience in a food service environment.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Reasonable accommodations are available.
- The Dietary Aide stands and walks throughout the shift and may need to reach bend lift carry and handle various food items supplies and equipment.
- Ability to work with cleaning agents and chemicals is required.
- Must be able to lift and carry 5075 pounds and handle varying temperatures and humidity levels.
- All employees must be free from infections or diseases.
