CYC Phillip Island Adventure Resort is an expansive facility situated on 80 acres of landscaped grounds in the heart of Cowes. It offers accommodation for over 600 guests featuring air-conditioned guest rooms with ensuites and a variety of onsite activities including giant swings swimming pools high and low ropes courses canoeing raft making sand volleyball indoor rock climbing archery and both single and quad flying foxes!!

The resort is a purpose-built complex catering to large bookings and is a popular destination for educational groups community and church groups school camps corporate retreats and holiday camps.

About the Role

As our Staff Engagement Officer youll play a vital role in supporting our team throughout the employee journey from recruitment and onboarding through to training engagement and offboarding. Youll be the go-to person for staff administration internal communication and workplace culture initiatives at the Phillip Island Adventure Resort.

This is a dynamic hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys variety takes initiative and is passionate about people and organisational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Deliver warm and welcoming staff inductions and help new team members settle in
  • Maintain accurate staff records compliance documentation and training data
  • Plan and coordinate staff engagement activities milestone celebrations and internal events
  • Support the delivery of training and professional development programs
  • Keep internal communications fresh and up to date
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and a positive values-driven team culture

About You

Personal attributes:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A proactive and positive attitude you love making things better!
  • Experience in HR or administrative coordination (advantageous but not mandatory)
  • A heart for service and a commitment to CYCs values and purpose

Essential requirements:

  • A Victorian employee Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid rights to work in Australia
