Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most successfully. The employees role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed. This position requires being onsite to attend business on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday.

CCAs Global Aftersales Engineering organization has responsibility for the service deliverable readiness of every GM vehicle globally. Theseinclude:service part release service information labor time guide service part catalogue diagnostic software service programming pre-delivery inspection forms customer service information and special tools. This publication author technician is responsible for efficiently and effectively facilitating the execution of Aftersales Engineering deliverables within the specific position is specifically for the execution of Owner Manual Development for our vehicles

What Youll Do (Responsibilities)

The primary role of Owners Manual (OM) author is to work in collaboration with Product Engineering and Marketing in order to develop the content of Owners Manual and glove box literature.

  • Develop OM content for each program launches for GMSA

  • Analyze new modified and carryover OM content for programs launched in South America and the ones surrogated by GMSA Aftersales Engineering

  • Validate vehicle feature and operation to best inform our customers how they work

  • Audit translation to Brazilian Portuguese for OM published in Brazilian market

  • Author owners manual in English language in the Global Service Authoring System (GSA)

  • Develop illustration in global standards for Owners Manual

  • Author technical content for dealers technicians

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor degree preferably in Engineering or technical areas

  • Very good knowledge of automotive systems and interested in technical literatures

  • Intermediated English (Mandatory writing and reading)

  • Very good written and oral communication and presentation skills

  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)

  • Technical drawing experience

  • Ability to keep the standards and to improve (Innovation is a need for this role)

  • Strong ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

  • High sense of urgency and customer focus

  • Working comfortably within a dynamic business environment

  • Driven for results skills (desire to win)

What Can Give You A Competitive Edge (Preference Qualifications)

  • Spanish (Desired)

  • Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator

  • Desirable to be familiar with AutoCAD Catia UG (Unigraphics) or any other 3D modelling software
