ING Australia ODCR team is looking to hire an ODCR Business Partner to be based at our Sydney office.
As the ODCR Business Partner youll play a key role in helping our marketing team within retail identify assess and manage non-financial risks. Youll act as a trusted Line 1 risk advisor to senior leaders embedding a strong risk culture and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations

What youll do
- Act as the single point of contact for business teams providing expert advice on operational regulatory and compliance risks.
- Lead the development and maintenance of business risk profiles and Risk in Change assessments.
- Support issue and incident management and act as gatekeeper for the Product Approval and Review Process (PARP).
- Partner with Marketing teams to ensure compliance in campaigns and third-party engagements.
- Work with 2nd Line of Defence to streamline risk processes and remove blockers.
- Coordinate regulatory change impact assessments and responses to regulatory inquiries.
- Deliver training and awareness programs to uplift risk capability across the business.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of risk tools processes and reporting.
- Support ad-hoc projects and participate in group-wide working groups to enhance risk culture and capability.
What were looking for
- Tertiary qualification in business finance legal or a related discipline
- 8 years experience in financial services with 5 years in risk or compliance roles (preferably Line 1).
- Strong understanding of retail banking products and operations (Cards Personal Loans Everyday Banking).
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (AML/KYC Privacy Banking Code of Practice).
- Experience supporting marketing teams and managing third-party risk.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and influence at senior levels.
- Strong analytical thinking communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in agile environments is a plus.
- Passion for simplification innovation and continuous improvement
