Join our thriving company a trusted leader in mechanical contracting since 1884. As a 100% employee-owned company with offices across the Northeast and Ohio we continue to grow and are looking for experienced Senior Sheet Metal Estimators to join our team.
In this role youll analyze project documents perform detailed takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates that support competitive bids. You will work closely with our Chief Estimator and collaborate with a team dedicated to delivering high-quality results.
- Prepare detailed labor and material takeoffs for all sheet metal systems
- Review project plans and specifications to ensure complete competitive bids
- Identify scope gaps risks and opportunities
- Solicit and compare quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
- Work closely with the estimating team and attend pre-bid meetings
- Review bid packages with the Chief Estimator
- Support relationships with subcontractors and vendors
- Maintain clear documentation and participate in project handoff meetings
- Bachelors degree in a related field preferred
- 5 years of experience estimating HVAC and/or plumbing projects
- Proficiency in estimating software (AutoBid Mechanical strongly preferred) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
- High attention to detail and strong work ethic
