We have got an exciting opportunity for Professional Experience Placement Officer to be part of our team at University of Canberra Sydney Hills Campus.

University of Canberra Sydney Hills Campus a modern teaching hub delivering the Bachelor of Nursing Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Master of Public Health. Were looking for passionate staff who want to make a meaningful impact in a growing academic community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Allocate students for placements using a variety of systems (InPlace ClinConnectetc).
  • Efficiently addressing student inquiries through multiple communication platforms such as in-person discussions email correspondence and telephone conversations.
  • Providing support to students to guarantee they meet and complete the necessary prerequisites for their placements ensuring a smooth transition into their practical
  • experience.
  • Liaise with academic staff and placement sites to ensure students are allocated effectively.
  • Manage placement agreements including ensuring effective reporting and recording of data.
  • Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders on placement related matters to support planning implementation and quality assurance of placements.
  • Perform other duties as required.

As the successful candidate you will ideally have:

  • Relevant qualifications at degree or diploma level.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain accurate records.
  • A sound understanding of compliance requirements accreditation standards or clinical/education placement processes.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team while also exercising initiative and independent judgment.
  • A commitment to supporting student success and contributing to high-quality learning experiences.
