Job Description

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Develop and execute sustainable category sourcing strategies for the region/function that align with global and local procurement priorities.
  • Act as a champion for strategic sourcing ensuring that procurement initiatives deliver long-term value and meet organizational needs.
  • Lead category management for key spend areas applying data-driven insights market intelligence and advanced procurement techniques to maximize value and minimize risk. Ensure category strategies consider external market factors and emerging trends that could impact business objectives.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with senior business stakeholders ensuring procurement is involved early in the sourcing process. Leverage procurements expertise to align sourcing initiatives with business needs offering strategic advice that enhances procurements role within the organization.
  • Lead complex negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and manage pricing strategies. Ensure the implementation of new pricing agreements manage supplier contracts and conduct ongoing reviews to ensure compliance with contractual terms.
  • Oversee supplier performance management across key categories ensuring suppliers consistently meet performance quality and cost requirements.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to regulatory requirements internal policies and ethical standards. Develop strategies to minimize supply chain risk including mitigating supplier risk financial exposure and potential disruptions.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the procurement function ensuring alignment with annual targets. Provide regular updates on procurement performance cost savings supplier performance and compliance metrics to senior leadership.


12 Month Fixed Term Agreement

Were seeking a strategic and commercially astute Procurement Manager to join our APAC team. This is a high-impact role managing over $40 million in annual spend across the New Zealand Supply Chain function.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager APAC and working closely with NZ Supply Chain management youll lead procurement initiatives across complex categories such as subcontractors plant and equipment MHE transportation services and CAPEX. Youll drive value through strategic sourcing supplier performance and contract management contributing directly to profitability and sustainability goals.

Based in our office in Wiri Auckland this role offers flexibility to work hybrid with occasional travel to regional sites across New Zealand required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on specific business critical projects and achieve targets in line with agreed strategies

  • Develop and improve the maturity of Brambles goods and services procurement processes and programs within the New Zealand business. and execute category strategies aligned with business priorities.

  • Lead sourcing and supplier management across goods and services spend categories.

  • Deliver savings initiatives and track performance against CAPEX plans for projects.

  • Ensure compliance with global procurement policies and systems (e.g. Coupa Zycus).

  • Support implementation of the Preferred Supplier Program.

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across the NZ supply chain team

About You

Youre a procurement professional with:

  • The ability to hit the ground running with experience in managing procurement initiatives related to capital projects

  • 5 years experience in procurement strategy with exposure to logistics and supply chain

  • Proven success in greenfield or transformational procurement projects. Youll be shaping the commercial approach to these new categories.

  • Experience in either creating leading implementing or building on existing category strategies.

  • Ability to deliver tangible value building strong stakeholder relationships and achieving requirements

  • Experience with subcontractor management change management and procurement systems.

  • (Ideally) A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Business Engineering or Science (CIPS desirable).
