Schedule: 8-Hour shift 40-hour work week
Job Description
This is a Structural Designer role (not an engineering position). The Structural AutoCAD Designer develops structural designs from concept through construction and supports discipline leads throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Produce structural design drawing packages using AVEVA (E3D) and AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with the lead structural engineer and other discipline teams as directed.
- Ensure designs comply with standards codes and regulations.
- Assist with updating and maintaining design standards and procedures.
- Support scope schedule and budget requirements.
- Set up AutoCAD drawings from files provided by the Lead Engineer.
- Create plans and details from sketches and redline markups.
- Support improvement of AVEVA (E3D) and CAD standards.
- Coordinate and maintain project models using MS Office AutoCAD Navisworks and AVEVA (E3D).
- Follow company quality control and project management procedures.
- Promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of structural design experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD AVEVA/E3D and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication attention to detail problem-solving organization and teamwork skills.
- Effective time management and adaptability to change.
