Job Summary
Civil Litigation Attorney
Career Consulting Partners is proud to represent a civil litigation law firm based in Venice CA. This is not a mill or high-volume personal injury shop. The firm deliberately takes on a select number of cases focusing on quality over quantity so that every client receives the time care and legal expertise they deserve. We are seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with a solid foundation in personal injury litigation and a genuine interest in tenant rights and premises liability. This team is driven by achieving meaningful outcomesnot by pushing files through the system. Responsibilities:
Manage a litigation caseload of 2535 active cases focusing solely on litigation (no pre-litigation duties).
Draft and respond to pleadings discovery and motions including dispositive and evidentiary motions.
Develop litigation strategies conduct risk assessments and provide thoughtful client counseling.
Take ownership of trial preparation including trial briefs witness examinations jury instructions and courtroom advocacy.
Collaborate with colleagues on complex and high-value cases.
Contribute to the growth of the firm by sharing knowledge mentoring when appropriate and improving processes.
Requirements:
25 years of CA Civil Litigation experience
Strong background in personal injury litigation (experience or interest in tenant rights and premises liability)
Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
Excellent legal research writing and oral advocacy skills.
Proven ability to think strategically solve complex problems and manage cases independently.
Defense-side experience (e.g. insurance defense) is considered a strong asset.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Compensation: $150000 - $200000
Plus commission/attorney fee structure
