Our client is seeking for a highly skilled IT Cyber Security Specialist to strengthen our organisations security posture.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Develop implement and maintain security policies standards and procedures
Conduct vulnerability assessments penetration testing and risk analysis
Monitor networks and systems for security breaches or suspicious activity
Respond to security incidents and perform root-cause analysis
Manage firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and security tools
Lead security awareness programs and provide training to staff
Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and industry standards
Collaborate with IT teams on secure system design and architecture

Job Experience and Key Requirements:

35 years of experience in IT security cyber defence or related fields
Strong understanding of network security cloud security and endpoint protection
Experience with SIEM tools threat detection and incident response
Knowledge of frameworks such as NIST ISO 27001 CIS Controls or similar
Familiarity with firewall management VPNs antivirus and encryption technologies
Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure AWS or GCP)
Relevant certifications beneficial (e.g. CEH CompTIA Security CISSP CISM)
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills

Desirable Skills:

Experience with malware analysis or threat hunting
Knowledge of secure coding practices and DevSecOps
Background in forensic investigations or SOC operations
