Job Summary
Project Manager SAP S/4HANA Full Cycle Implementation (Public Sector)
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead a greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation for a major public sector organisation. This pivotal role requires strong leadership strategic oversight and the ability to drive successful delivery across all phases of the project life cycleincluding planning implementation data migration integration customization testing and training.
You will work on-site in Gaborone Botswana collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and managing on-site resources to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
o Lead and manage the full SAP S/4HANA implementation life cyclefrom planning and blueprinting to execution and go-live.
o Ensure all project milestones timelines and deliverables are achieved according to scope and quality standards.
Team & Vendor Management
o Oversee multi-disciplinary on-site and off-site teams fostering alignment productivity and high-quality deliverables.
o Coordinate with implementation partners and external vendors to ensure successful collaboration.
Client & Stakeholder Management
o Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communication with the client.
o Conduct stakeholder meetings steering committees and progress reviews to ensure alignment and transparency.
o Build and maintain strong trust-based relationships with key stakeholders.
Governance & Reporting
o Prepare and present comprehensive project reports status updates and risk assessments.
o Ensure compliance with project governance frameworks and public sector standards.
Requirements
Requirements
Technical & Professional Expertise
o Proven experience leading end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations ideally within public sector environments.
o Solid understanding of SAP Activate methodology and S/4HANA deployment best practices.
o Strong grasp of integration data migration and cutover planning.
Certifications
SAP Activate Project Management certification is highly advantageous.
Soft Skills
o Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
o Strong analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
o Demonstrated success managing complex dynamic project environments.
Pre-Qualifications
Location: Willingness to relocate and work on-site in Gaborone Botswana for the duration of the project.
Availability: Must be available to start 5 January 2026.
Experience: Minimum of one major end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation as a Project Manager.
