Job Description:
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Principal Commissioning Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will provide technical support to the testing and commissioning activities of a multi-disciplined digital railway system project and coordinate the integration of the railway systems. The position is based in Brisbane Australia.
Key accountabilities:
Supporting the program T&C manager by leading T&C activities for multiple work packages.
Working with work package signalling Tester in Charge and commissioning engineers to plan and execute T&C works.
Responsible for schedule management of work package.
Ensure that the test and commissioning activities are executed in alignment with the Work Health and Safety requirements of the company and the project.
Oversight of the development implementation and continuous improvement of all Test documentation.
Technical review of all test documentation to ensure test coverage is robust and comprehensive.
Ensuring the timely production of all Sub-System and System Test Plans Procedures and Reports at the work package level.
Supporting site interface management with the Client/Engineers/Third parties during the test and commissioning planning and execution phase.
Support bids and develop strategy for future work packages.
Ensure test documentation complies with relevant standards.
Ensure test specifications and procedures align with project requirements
Education and experience:
Bachelors degree in engineering or similar field.
10 years experience in a similar role in the Rail Signal industry with demonstrated capability and skills in:
System Integration of complex systems
Understanding how testing plays a role in supporting Systems Assurance activities
Railway equipment and environment
Use of Test tools
Use of Database tools
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of ERP and Configuration Management tools
Willingness to travel as required by the project.
