We are seeking an experienced leader to lead our team of deliverability engineers in the role of Email Deliverability Team Lead within Email Unfix Base. This role is pivotal in ensuring optimal utilization of our engineering resources to support our clients pre during and post onboarding. The successful candidate will oversee the management of email traffic monitor performance implement strategies to optimize onboarding and deliverability performance of our biggest A tier client across all regions. At the same time as this is revenue generating service be in charge of P&L generated by deliverability services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of deliverability engineers providing guidance mentorship and setting clear goals and objectives. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team. Be able to scale the team accordingly to the business needs. Below points are referring to the scope of the EDE team
  • Client Service and Support: Collaborate with our clients and internal teams to understand clients email program goals and develop tailored strategies to enhance deliverability and performance. Ensure high client satisfaction through proactive support and regular performance updates.
  • Email Traffic Management: Oversee the monitoring and management of email traffic to ensure optimal performance. This includes analyzing traffic patterns identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to improve delivery rates.
  • Deliverability Optimization: Develop and execute comprehensive deliverability strategies to improve inbox placement rates reduce spam filtering and enhance overall email program effectiveness. Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in email deliverability.
  • Technical Expertise: Ensure the team is proficient in managing sender reputation implementing authentication protocols (SPF DKIM DMARC) and troubleshooting delivery issues with ISPs and email service providers.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track key deliverability metrics such as bounce rates complaint rates and inbox placement. Analyze trends identify areas for improvement and present actionable insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales Customer Success Product Development and Engineering to ensure alignment and leverage opportunities for growth. Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: 5 years with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior role.
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of email infrastructure authentication protocols and data analysis tools
  • Services experience: Understand GTM and revenue motions to be able to monetize services
  • Analytical Abilities: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and drive strategic decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
