Job Summary
We are seeking a visionary and analytical Engineering Executive to join our team at ibis Styles Mysuru India. As the Engineering Executive you will play a crucial role in overseeing the engineering operations ensuring optimal performance of all systems and equipment while driving innovation and efficiency across the organization.
- Lead and manage the engineering team providing guidance mentorship and fostering a collaborative work environment
- Develop and implement strategic plans for engineering operations aligning with organizational goals and objectives
- Oversee the maintenance repair and upgrade of all engineering systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Establish and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and maximize productivity
- Analyze and optimize engineering processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Manage budgets and resources effectively ensuring cost-effective use of materials and equipment
- Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry best practices implementing innovative solutions where appropriate
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors contractors and other external partners
- Lead and participate in engineering projects from conception to completion
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Engineering; Masters degree in Engineering Management or related field preferred
- Proven experience in engineering management or a similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of engineering systems equipment maintenance and safety protocols
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management methodologies; PMP certification is a plus
- Experience with budgeting and financial management in an engineering context
- Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability practices
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in using engineering software and tools
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to work under pressure
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to address engineering concerns
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
