About Our Client
Our clientis a leading provider of industrial carbon steel pipes fittings and flanges serving various industries. They are seeking a Field Sales Representative who will be responsible forestablishing and maintaining personal connections with customers within your designated sales territory. This involves identifying customer needs and concerns developing new accounts and ensuring customer satisfaction within established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
As the Field Sales Representative you will maintain strong relationships with customers across remote areas while supporting sales activities and ensuring timely delivery of products. Your responsibilities will include:
Customer Retention and Territory Engagement
- Maintain direct and ongoing contact with existing and new customers through scheduled site and office visits.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for questions concerns or issues related to service products or deliveries.
- Follow up on quotes within the assigned region and collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant data.
- Identify potential new customers from established guidelines and contribute to growth planning.
- Assist with preparing sales budgets and gathering market intelligence including current work upcoming opportunities and customer needs.
- Support the collection of receivables when required.
Product Delivery and Transportation
- Inspect vehicle and trailer before and during use to ensure proper operation and adherence to safety standards.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and report mechanical concerns to management.
- Maintain accurate documentation including licenses insurance registration logs and related paperwork.
- Ensure personal communication devices are operable and used safely.
- Follow transportation regulations and ensure products are safely loaded secured and delivered according to documentation.
- Conduct circle checks before leaving any location and operate vehicles safely to ensure timely deliveries.
- Follow site-specific safety rules including the required use of personal protective equipment.
- Confirm accuracy of deliveries with customer personnel and obtain signatures for documentation.
- Refuse nonconforming product when necessary and communicate issues to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain regular communication with dispatch for scheduling updates.
General Responsibilities and Team Collaboration
- Comply with organizational policies work procedures quality standards and health and safety requirements.
- Report incidents safety concerns equipment issues or process problems to management or the appropriate representative.
- Work collaboratively with employees across departments to ensure safe and productive operations.
- Maintain open communication with the Regional Sales Manager Inside Sales team and Operations staff.
- Assist in resolving customer issues and gathering feedback related to service performance.
- Continue to expand product knowledge and provide support to Inside Sales when required.
- Perform additional related duties as needed.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Post secondary education in business marketing or a related field preferred.
- Two to three years of experience in sales customer service or a related role preferred.
- Valid Class 5 license with a clean drivers abstract.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to create reports correspondence proposals and other documentation.
- Ability to calculate basic numerical values including discounts percentages and averages.

- Professional presence and strong selling style.
- Effective planning territory management and opportunity qualification skills.
- Strong relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage a busy schedule.
- High energy self-motivation and a strong level of enthusiasm.

Working Conditions
- Exposure to environments requiring personal protective equipment.
- Regular interaction with employees customers suppliers and the public.
- Daily travel is required and often includes several hours of driving.
