About the Role
As an Engineering Manager you will join our Global Technology team supporting Xplors Field Services divisionthe team that provides expertise and solutions for HVAC and Plumbing trades. We build platforms that help our customers run their businesses efficiently and keep life moving. You will lead efforts to enhance our industry-leading platform ensuring scalability innovation and technical excellence.
Roles and Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Architecture
- Define and execute a technology roadmap aligned with departmental strategy and business objectives.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to design scalable future-ready solutions.
- Review and improve architectural roadmaps addressing technical debt and development bottlenecks.
- Drive innovation through adoption of cutting-edge technologies and best practices.
- Ensure technical designs align with system vision and long-term goals.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build and nurture high-performing engineering teams through recruitment mentoring and performance management.
- Foster an inclusive collaborative culture that encourages creativity and professional growth.
- Provide coaching and guidance to team members promoting autonomy and ownership.
- Offer regular feedback and recognition supporting career development and retention.
Project & Delivery Management
- Partner with product managers business leaders and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Oversee project planning resource allocation and risk management to meet scope timeline and budget.
- Continuously refine SDLC processes to improve efficiency productivity and quality.
- Promote Agile principles by encouraging demos and working code.
Technical Excellence & Quality Assurance
- Champion best practices in coding standards documentation and maintainability.
- Promote code reviews automated testing and robust QA processes for high-quality deliverables.
- Encourage continuous learning certifications and skill enhancement within the team.
Collaboration & Communication
- Act as a liaison between engineering teams and senior leadership ensuring transparency on progress and challenges.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain open communication channels fostering constructive feedback and problem-solving.
Continuous Improvement
- Regularly assess team performance tools and processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Encourage innovation and experimentation with new ideas and technologies.
- Implement goal-setting and performance tracking aligned with organizational objectives.
- Share lessons learned and best practices across teams to drive organizational growth.
Qualifications :
Qualifications
- 14 years of experience in web application development.
- Extensive hands-on experience with multiple programming languages and technologies including C# HTML CSS and front-end JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React.
- 4 years of expertise in Azure Cloud Computing and 2 years working with Azure DevOps.
- Experience of working with Microservices architecture preferably Core.
- Strong proficiency in database technologies such as SQL Server MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Deep understanding of software design patterns principles and best practices.
- Skilled in CI/CD pipelines API Management and modern DevOps practices.
- Proven experience in building RESTful JSON-based Web Services using .NET.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications in Azure environments.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly proactive and self-motivated with a strong commitment to personal and professional growth.
- Comfortable working in an Agile environment demonstrating ownership and accountability.
- Progressive experience providing technical leadership to software engineering teams.
