Reporting to the Materials Department Coordinator the Site Quality Control Technician Materials Engineering position offers an opportunity to immerse yourself in the fascinating field of materials engineering. As a Quality Control Technician in Materials Engineering you will actively collaborate to ensure project success:
Ensure compliance of materials (aggregate concrete asphalt and other related materials) upon arrival at the site;
Perform on-site quality control tests on cement concrete (air content slump temperature etc.) granular materials (compaction validation excavation base checks etc.) and asphalt mixes (compaction validation temperature joints application rate etc.);
Report any material implementation discrepancies using non-conformance memos and prepare a site report for each intervention;
Collaborate with the project technical team to ensure follow-up on site requirements;
Calibrate site equipment to ensure measurement accuracy and reliable results;
Apply health safety and environmental protection measures.
College diploma (DEC) in civil engineering forestry mineral processing or metallurgy or comparative evaluation from the Ministry of Immigration Francization and Integration;
Good knowledge of French;
Ability to work independently as well as in a team;
ASP Construction card (an asset);
ACI certification (an asset);
Ability to lift loads up to 25 kg;
Availability to work various shifts (day/evening/night/weekends);
Availability to work on remote sites (an asset);
Valid drivers license at the start of employment;
Access to a personal vehicle (travel is required and reimbursed per kilometer).
