DTU Skylab is looking for a visionary and hands-on Innovation and Community Lead to develop and implement the daily operations of a new DTU Skylab satellite and makerspace at Rigshospitalet.
This initiative is part of the Technical University Hospital (TUH) a strategic partnership between the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and The Capital Region of Denmark (Region H). Based on DTU Skylabs interdisciplinary and entrepreneurial approach the innovation hub will foster collaboration between engineers clinicians researchers students and industry to accelerate health tech innovation.
About TUH and DTU Skylabs role
TUH aims to become a national powerhouse in health technology by integrating technical and health sciences to drive innovation across the healthcare system from logistics and diagnostics to the development of new treatments. As part of this vision DTU Skylab will establish a satellite innovation environment at Rigshospitalet serving as a physical and cultural meeting point for innovation across DTU and the healthcare sector in Region H. With this initiative we seek to foster more resilient and impactful startups within the health domain strengthening the ecosystem for health innovation in Denmark.

Your role
As Innovation and Community Lead you will be responsible for launching and operating the DTU Skylab TUH satellite. You will play a central role in building a vibrant community facilitating collaboration and accelerating the development and implementation of health tech solutions.

At DTU Skylab and within the TUH initiative you will step into a meaningful and central role at the intersection of academia innovation and entrepreneurship. You will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of health tech innovation at DTU and in Region H.
You will be part of the DTU Skylab team and work closely with the TUH secretariat. You will collaborate with technically skilled colleagues running the makerspace and student assistants supporting events and daily operations.
Salary and appointment terms
Salary and appointment terms are in accordance with the OAO-S Joint Agreement and the organization agreement for Office Clerks Laboratory Technicians and IT staff (HK/stat) or the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).
The position is a full-time position. Start date is 1 February 2026 or as soon as possible.
The primary workplace will be the DTU Skylab satellite at Rigshospitalet with regular presence at DTU Lyngby Campus approximately every second week.
