Quality Staffing Inc. also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search a leading full-service employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the areas top companies is looking for experienced Programmer/Developers/Software Developersto work through our agency as a contract employee with the Tennessee Higher Education Commission/Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TN THEC TSAC) located in Nashville TN.This is aremote position working from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Fridayand the pay rate for this position is $61.00 per hour.
Software Developer Job Description:
The Tennessee Higher Education Commission is looking for 5 year Developers with knowledge of Object-Oriented Concepts MVC frameworks Entity Framework and LINQ. The role will assist with the development and maintenance of computer program design coding testing debugging and implementation as required by project addition the candidate will identify and resolve application malfunctions to assure continuity of service for supported business functions. Please note this position requires a Federal Tax Information (FTI) background check including fingerprinting as part of the hiring process. **Monthly in-person meetings are required so candidates MUST reside in the state of Tennessee and be local to the Nashville area**
Software Developer Job Responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with other software developers business analysts and quality analysts to plan design develop test and maintain web-based business applications built on Microsoft technologies.
- Designing developing and unit testing applications in accordance with established standards.
- Debugging and testing existing application programs.
- Participating in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
- Developing refining and tuning integrations between applications.
- Adhering to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on time and on budget.
- Researching and evaluating a variety of software products.
- Packaging and supporting deployment of releases.
- Working with teammates in the migration of legacy applications to current Microsoft technologies.
- Interacting with end users to fix defects find solutions and test.
- Assisting in the collection and documentation of requirements development of user stories estimates and work plans.
- Preparing reports manuals and other documentation on the status operation and maintenance of software.
- Attending daily/weekly meetings with teams to report on status.
- Assessing opportunities for application and process improvement and preparing documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.
Education and Qualification Requirements Needed for Software Developer position:
- 5 years of experience in software development for business systems.
- College or university degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Preferred Work Experience for Software Developer position:
- C# programming language
- Web development Framework
- Web API development in Framework
- Developing web pages using the MVC design pattern
- Microsoft SQL Server (create and modify tables views and stored procedures)
- CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) in Bootstrap Framework
- JavaScript and JQuery Framework
- Working knowledge of agile methodologies and software development lifecycles
