SS&C GIDS provides information processing and computer software services and products. The Companys operating segments include financial markets customer management professional services and output solutions. SS&C GIDS serves the alternative investments asset and wealth management banking and lending insurance and real estate industries.
What You Will Get to Do:
- Oversee day-to-day production support operations ensuring timely and effective resolution of incidents and service requests.
- Manage service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address analyse and resolve complex technical issues.
- Managing and maintaining ITIL standards including incidents service requests problems and vulnerabilities and be the point of contact for escalations
- Lead and manage a team of IT support professionals including (and not limited) recruitment coaching performance management and career development by fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team
- Monitor and manage the incident and problem management processes to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
- Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
- Ensure that changes to the IT environment are effectively planned communicated and executed with minimal impact on production services.
- Manage review and approve change requests to ensure they meet the Operational Readiness standards.
- Support handovers and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
What You Will Bring:
- IT degree or equivalent experience
- 10 years experience working in an Application Support role
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices and methods
- Working knowledge of SDLC principles and methodologies
- Experience working with ITIL based processes
- Understanding of hosting production environments on AWS and Virtual Environments
- Advanced knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery build pipelines
- Experience working with infrastructure as code
- A passion for automating manual processes
- Keen to continuously improve & innovate
- Monitoring system and application performance and alerts
- Flexible working in shifts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
