Position Overview
ATC Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at NYCCC in Queens this role you will evaluate diagnose and treat patients with speech language cognitive-communication voice fluency and swallowing disorders. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care and help patients reach their communication and swallowing goals.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech language cognitive-communication and swallowing evaluations.
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on patient needs.
Provide direct therapy using evidence-based interventions.
Collaborate with physicians nurses occupational/physical therapists and other staff to coordinate care.
Educate patients families and caregivers on strategies to support therapy progress.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress notes.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case reviews.
Requirements
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current New York State Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility).
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) may be considered.
Experience in clinical rehabilitation outpatient or long-term care settings preferred.
Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
