Job Summary

Adelphi is seeking a licensed Speech Pathologist to provide temporary/relief speech-language pathology services at a hospital in Coalinga California. The ideal candidate will deliver clinically appropriate speech and language evaluation and treatment services to patients in a state hospital setting ensure accurate clinical documentation and comply with all applicable state regulations hospital policies and professional standards of care.

Requirements:
Current and valid California Speech-Language Pathologist License issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs
Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
Resume with relevant experience
Knowledge of standards of care established by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
Basic knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and experience working with diverse patient populations preferred
Ability to comply with hospital security safety and documentation requirements

Responsibilities:
Provide speech language and cognitive rehabilitation services in accordance with physician orders
Conduct clinical evaluations assessments and treatments for patients with communication language and swallowing disorders
Address needs related to speech language comprehension articulation voice fluency aphasia dysphagia and cognitive communication deficits
Deliver services to deaf and hard-of-hearing patients including use of ASL as appropriate
Administer and interpret standardized assessments approved by the facility
Develop implement and document individualized treatment plans
Maintain accurate timely and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with Title 22 regulations and hospital policies
Collaborate with physicians nursing staff and interdisciplinary treatment teams to support patient care
Adhere to all safety security and confidentiality requirements while working on state hospital grounds
Refer service limitations or concerns to the Chief Physician/Surgeon as required
Perform services only when civil service staffing is unavailable as designated by the facility
Comply with all Department of State Hospitals policies procedures and contractual requirements
Perform other related duties as assigned
