Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and optimize manufacturing tools dies jigs and fixtures.
• Analyze tooling performance identify failures and implement corrective actions.
• Manage tooling projects from concept through design build and production launch.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define tooling requirements and specifications.
• Conduct tool trials validate performance and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Research and implement new tooling technologies and materials to improve efficiency.
• Oversee tool maintenance repair and modification schedules.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in designing developing and optimizing tooling for manufacturing processes (e.g. injection molding stamping casting).
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD CATIA) for tool design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of materials science (metals plastics) and various machining and fabrication processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings blueprints and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Experience with root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for tooling-related issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g. FEA mold flow analysis).
• Familiarity with additive manufacturing techniques for tooling applications.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
• Experience integrating tooling solutions with robotics and automation systems.
