Key Responsibilities

• Design build and modify precision tools dies jigs and fixtures.
• Operate conventional and CNC machine tools including lathes mills grinders and EDMs.
• Interpret complex blueprints CAD models and engineering specifications for tooling.
• Perform precision measurements and inspections using various metrology equipment.
• Troubleshoot repair and maintain existing tooling to support production operations.
• Select appropriate materials and apply heat treatments for tool longevity and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams on tool design improvements and problem-solving.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machine tools (lathes mills grinders EDMs).
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex blueprints schematics and GD&T specifications.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy heat treatment processes and various tool steels.
• Proven experience in fabricating repairing and maintaining precision tooling dies jigs and fixtures.
• Excellent metrology skills including the use of precision measuring instruments and CMMs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks Mastercam) for design and programming
• Experience with various welding techniques (e.g. TIG MIG) for tool repair and fabrication
• Knowledge of heat treatment processes for different tool steels
• Familiarity with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation for precise inspection
