The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Source and attract qualified candidates for various manufacturing roles including production maintenance engineering and skilled trades.
Conduct thorough interviews to assess candidates' technical skills experience and fit for a manufacturing environment.
Partner closely with manufacturing hiring managers to understand departmental needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from requisition creation to offer extension and onboarding support.
Utilize an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to maintain accurate candidate records and ensure compliance with hiring regulations.
Develop and maintain a strong talent pipeline for critical and hard-to-fill manufacturing positions.
Participate in industry-specific job fairs and community outreach to enhance the employer brand within the manufacturing sector.

Recommended Qualifications

Proven experience recruiting for manufacturing engineering or skilled trades roles.
Demonstrated success sourcing passive candidates for specialized industrial positions.
Strong understanding of manufacturing industry operations roles and compensation trends.
Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and various sourcing tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse candidates and hiring managers.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience recruiting for specific manufacturing sectors (e.g. automotive aerospace food production).
Familiarity with common manufacturing processes machinery or skilled trades roles.
Experience recruiting within a unionized manufacturing environment.
Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
Proficiency in Spanish or other languages common in the local manufacturing workforce.
