Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials in-process components and finished products against specifications.
Conduct various quality tests and measurements using calibrated equipment such as CMMs calipers and micrometers.
Document inspection results non-conformances and quality data accurately in logs and reports.
Identify and segregate non-conforming materials initiating corrective action requests as needed.
Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection and test equipment.
Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for quality deviations.
Ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001) and company procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; technical certification or Associate's degree preferred
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment
Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers micrometers gauges)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and specifications
Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification
Experience with CMM operation and/or programming
Proficiency in statistical software (e.g. Minitab) for data analysis
Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 or relevant industry standard
Advanced interpretation of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
