Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost quality and delivery for manufacturing operations.
Source evaluate and select suppliers negotiating favorable terms pricing and contracts for raw materials and components.
Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance reliability and continuous improvement in material supply.
Collaborate with production and planning teams to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels preventing stockouts or overstock.
Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives and efficiency improvements within the procurement process.
Ensure compliance with company policies industry regulations and ethical purchasing practices.
Mitigate supply chain risks including material shortages price volatility and quality issues.

Recommended Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Engineering or a related field.
Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing vendor negotiation and contract management.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and procurement software.
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations lean principles and quality control systems.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Demonstrated proficiency with specific ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle NetSuite).
Experience with international sourcing logistics and customs regulations.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Fluency in a second language relevant to key international suppliers.
