Key Responsibilities

Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing carrying costs.
Develop and implement strategic materials planning and procurement processes.
Oversee the scheduling and coordination of material flow from suppliers to production and finished goods.
Lead supplier relationship management including performance monitoring contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
Ensure accuracy of materials data within the ERP/MRP system and drive continuous improvement in data integrity.
Collaborate with production sales and engineering to align material availability with production schedules and new product introductions.
Identify and implement cost reduction strategies related to materials logistics and inventory management.

Recommended Qualifications

5-7 years of progressive experience in materials management or supply chain leadership within a manufacturing environment.
Proven expertise in ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Dynamics 365) for planning scheduling and inventory control.
Strong background in inventory management optimization strategies and demand forecasting.
Demonstrated leadership ability to manage mentor and develop a materials team.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills for supplier relations and internal stakeholder collaboration.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field; APICS certification (CPIM CSCP) highly preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

APICS CSCP or CPIM certification
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
Proficiency with advanced planning systems (APS) or specific ERP modules (e.g. SAP MM Oracle SCM)
Experience managing international suppliers and global logistics
Demonstrated experience with data analytics and visualization tools for inventory optimization
