The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed cost analysis of production processes materials and labor to identify efficiencies.
Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting forecasting and long-range planning specific to manufacturing operations.
Analyze manufacturing variances (material labor overhead) against standard costs and provide actionable insights.
Prepare comprehensive financial reports performance dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing management.
Evaluate capital expenditure requests for new machinery and plant upgrades performing ROI and payback period analysis.
Monitor and analyze inventory valuation turns and obsolescence to optimize working capital.
Support the month-end close process by ensuring accurate cost accounting entries and reconciliations.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in financial modeling forecasting and variance analysis.
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory valuation in manufacturing.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) for financial reporting and data extraction.
Demonstrated ability to analyze operational data and identify cost efficiencies within a production environment.
Bachelor's degree in Finance Accounting or a related business field.

Bonus Qualifications

Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting principles (e.g. standard costing variance analysis).
Proficiency with ERP systems common in manufacturing environments (e.g. SAP Oracle Microsoft Dynamics AX/365).
Familiarity with operational metrics and KPIs relevant to manufacturing (e.g. OEE yield scrap rates).
Exposure to Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies and their financial impact.
