The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard costs for materials labor and overhead.
• Analyze production variances cost of goods sold and profitability reports.
• Oversee inventory valuation reconciliation and cycle count procedures.
• Prepare detailed cost analysis for management decision-making.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with cost data.
• Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements.
• Participate in month-end and year-end close activities related to inventory and COGS.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
• 3-5 years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles standard costing and variance analysis
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) for presenting cost analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills including VBA for process automation or complex modeling.
• Demonstrated experience with ERP system implementations or significant module upgrades (e.g. SAP CO Oracle Cost Management).
