The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare detailed variance reports.
• Develop and maintain standard costs for materials labor and manufacturing overhead.
• Manage inventory valuation reconciliation and obsolescence for raw materials WIP and finished goods.
• Prepare and distribute regular cost reports including product profitability analysis.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes related to production costs and capital expenditures.
• Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities and process improvements within manufacturing operations.
• Participate in month-end close activities including COGS calculation and inventory adjustments.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• 3-5 years of cost accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles standard costing and variance analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and provide insights for cost control and process improvement.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau)
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis
• Experience with advanced ERP module configuration or reporting (e.g. SAP CO Oracle EBS)
