Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard costs for materials labor and manufacturing overhead.
• Analyze manufacturing variances (material labor overhead) and report on root causes.
• Perform inventory valuation for raw materials work-in-process and finished goods.
• Prepare detailed cost reports and profitability analyses for management.
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process for production costs.
• Reconcile inventory accounts to the general ledger and investigate discrepancies.
• Provide cost data to support product pricing decisions and new product development.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
• 3-5 years of cost accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of standard costing variance analysis and inventory valuation
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau).
• Experience with ERP system implementations or upgrades.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
