The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Mason seeking Buyers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for assigned raw materials and components.
• Identify evaluate and qualify new suppliers to meet production requirements and cost targets.
• Negotiate pricing terms and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production planning to ensure timely material availability.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure supply chain stability.
• Resolve supplier performance issues related to quality delivery and cost.
• Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of direct purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and advanced Excel.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes material requirements planning and inventory control.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Engineering or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or material specifications.
• Experience with global sourcing and international logistics.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Professional certification in purchasing (e.g. CPSM CPIM).
• Proficiency with advanced features of a major ERP system's procurement module (e.g. SAP MM).
