Key Responsibilities

• Source evaluate and select suppliers for raw materials components and MRO items.
• Negotiate contracts pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable conditions.
• Generate and manage purchase orders ensuring timely delivery of goods to meet production schedules.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance addressing issues related to quality delivery and cost.
• Collaborate with production planning and engineering to forecast material needs and optimize inventory levels.
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or supply reliability.
• Resolve supply chain disruptions material shortages and delivery discrepancies efficiently.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of direct purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Microsoft Dynamics) for purchasing functions.
• Demonstrated strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications engineering drawings or Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Solid understanding of supply chain principles inventory management and logistics.

Bonus Qualifications

• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes or specific material sciences relevant to the industry.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven track record in global sourcing and international logistics.
