R77 Global is supporting a reputable Corporate Services Provider (CSP) based in Malta in growing their finance team. Our client offers accounting corporate and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of local and international clients.
We are currently seeking a Junior Accounts Officer to work directly with our client and support their day-to-day accounting operations.
About the Role
This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their accounting career who wants solid exposure to client accounting within a professional CSP environment. You will assist with bookkeeping reconciliations and basic reporting for a portfolio of client entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping for client entities including posting supplier and client invoices receipts and payments.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable ensuring accurate and timely posting.
- Perform bank debtor and creditor reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Assist in preparing month-end journals and supporting schedules.
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts by collecting and checking financial data.
- Assist in preparing documentation for Maltese VAT returns and other statutory submissions.
- Maintain organised and up-to-date accounting records in line with Maltese regulations and CSP standards.
- Liaise with internal teams and where required with auditors clients and other external stakeholders.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in Accounting Finance or a related field or currently studying towards such qualification (e.g. ACCA University of Malta MCAST).
- 2 years experience in an accounting or finance role (internship/trainee experience also considered).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Shireburn Xero Sage QuickBooks or similar) and good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Strong numerical skills accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and ability to work with deadlines.
- Very good command of English; Maltese will be considered an asset.
- Positive attitude willingness to learn and a team-oriented mindset.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Maltese VAT and other local statutory requirements.
- Experience within a Maltese CSP audit iGaming or professional services environment.
- Basic knowledge of Maltese tax concepts.
Remuneration & Benefits
- Salary: Around 25000 gross per annum depending on experience and qualifications.
