Job Summary
Shipping Lead
Rate: $25-26/hr
Hours: 7am-3:30pm (some overtime)

Responsibilities:
Lead shipping operations responsible for the proper processing of all outbound shipments.
- Approve freight invoices in accordance with company procedure.
- Create loading schedule using information from our ERP and production software.
- Organize shipments using Mercurygate transportation management software (TMS).
- Create BOL and supporting documents for truckload (TL) and less than truckload (LTL) shipments.
- Communicate regularly using a combination of phone and email systems.
- Understand and react to an ever-changing shipping schedule.
- Oversee a team of up to 5 employees.
- In addition to the accountabilities listed above individuals may perform other duties as assigned including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief to equalize peak work periods or otherwise balance the workload.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include training employees; planning assigning and directing
work; appraising performance addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma/GEDwith 3 years of experience
- Forklift operation skills preferred
- Ability to regularly walk sit or stand as required
- Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to move wide loads heavy loads
