Accountant (Intermediate or Senior)

One of our fastest-growing areas of specialisation is business and taxation advisory services. When you join MGI South Queensland youll be doing much more than standard compliance. Youll help clients reach their potential through cashflow management forecasting budgeting management reporting and strategic advisory. We build long-term relationships and support a diverse client base across hospitality medical construction agribusiness and not-for-profit sectors.

Due to strong continued growth we are seeking an Intermediate to Senior Accountant with solid tax compliance capability and the confidence to work directly with clients from day one.

About You

We are seeking an experienced and confident professional who can represent MGI SQ in front of clients from day one. You communicate clearly ask the right questions and know how to say Im not sure but Ill come back to you while maintaining credibility and trust.

To be considered you will ideally have:

• Minimum 3 years taxation and business services experience in public practice
• Progress toward becoming CA/CPA qualified (near completion preferred)
• Solid experience across tax compliance for all entity types
• Advisory exposure or a strong willingness and capability to learn
• Fringe Benefits Tax knowledge (desirable)
• Tax planning exposure (desirable)
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team including mentoring junior staff
• Strong problem-solving skills and confidence assessing client needs
• Excellent communication skills for both client interaction and internal reporting
• A professional presence with the ability to build rapport quickly
• Willingness to attend client sites and engage directly with client teams
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities
• Ambition to progress
