How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:

The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do:

  • Prepare and conduct testing and test reviews on both launch vehicle systems and propulsion engine sub-systems
  • Perform data analysis on fluids and propulsion systems under test conditions
  • Generate test procedures as well as maintenance plans for test stands and Ground Support Equipment
  • Assess technical and safety risks associated with propulsion tests and implement controls and mitigations to manage risk
  • Assist in the completion of integration activities of components sub systems and payloads on orbital and sub-orbital class launch vehicles
  • Participate effectively as part of a launch operations team for the purpose of preparing for and executing successful launch missions
  • Other duties as requested by Management
Mandatory Qualifications Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant Engineering discipline such as Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering Chemical Engineering
  • 3-5 years experience in engineering industry
  • Hands on experience testing and maintaining aerospace propulsion systems and associated ground support equipment
  • Experience with data acquisition and processing technology and software

Desired QualificationsSkills and Experience:

  • Sustained enthusiasm and interest in space technology and its application for space commercialisation and exploration
  • Demonstrated resilience and ability to perform in a fast paced and safety critical environment
  • Experience with engineering software such as data acquisition and control software Product Lifecycle Management software scripting and coding languages and Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a range of staff in the business including engineers technicians WHS officers supervisors and other support departments
